ISSUE:

Should it become necessary to replace the generator on a 2003 Police Interceptor, a high output generator is now available for service.

ACTION:

Install the generator service kit. The kit includes the high output generator, heavy duty battery cable, wire jumper and M8 nut. Follow the instruction sheet included with the kit. After installation verify that the vehicle is at the latest calibration using WDS release B29.9 or higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com. The service calibration is designed to raise the base idle RPM to improve battery charging.
